Barcelona, October 13, 2019.
More than 2,500 people have participated in Barcelona in the 9th edition of the In progress for Cerebral Palsy, organized by the Catalan Federation of Cerebral Palsy Organizations (FEPCCAT) and Ipsen Pharma, a solidarity test that, year after year, exemplifies the full equality of opportunities for the group of people with cerebral palsy and other similar disabilities.
With 2,500 inscriptions sold one week before the celebration of the race, the day was highlighted by its festive and fun atmosphere, bringing together hundreds of children, young people and adults with and without cerebral palsy or other related disability. Between one and two out of ten participants had a disability. In addition, nearly a hundred volunteers have collaborated in the organization, making the development of the activity a success.
The novelty of this year has been the participation of Normag, the first giant with intellectual disability in Catalonia, built with ultra-light materials and with an adapted design so that it can be brought to people with intellectual and physical disabilities. The Reperkutim inclusive musical group has accompanied the tour.
After nine successful editions, the 9th edition of the cerebral palsy charity race with the slogan: Get Moving and Join the Family! has been consolidated as a reference in the solidarity agenda and tribute to all those who, in one way or another, coexist with cerebral palsy or others related disabilities.
